Good things, the saying goes, come in threes, as LaBov & Beyond discover today: For the third consecutive year, LaBov & Beyond was recognized as one of the region’s top employers by the publisher of Upstate Indiana Business Journal and Fort Wayne Woman magazine as part of its annual Best Places to Work competition.
This year, LaBov & Beyond earned the nod as the top overall employer in the event’s small business category. It also took home top honors in two of the program’s sub-categories: Most Innovative Corporate and Business Culture and Best Benefits and Compensation. The 2008 winners for all categories were announced July 24 at an awards ceremony held at Sweetwater Sound’s new headquarters in Fort Wayne.
“This is an award for our employees, and it’s an award we won because of them, too,” Barry LaBov, the agency’s (LaBov & Beyond) founder and president, said. “They play an obviously important in creating an innovative and invigorating place to work—and they’re the ones who took the time to tell those administering the survey they work at one of northeast Indiana’s outstanding companies.”
In 2006, LaBov & Beyond placed in the Best Places to Work Awards top 10 rankings—without categories separating companies by size. In 2007, it earned the title of Most Innovative Corporate and Business Culture for the small-business category.
Executives and human resource managers at eligible companies completed thorough questionnaires provided by Providence Communications, which publishes Upstate Indiana Business Journal and Fort Wayne Woman. The surveys covered all pertinent and relevant aspects of employment at participating firms. Information gathered from the questionnaires, combined with results and data from employee surveys, were compiled and tabulated by an independent third party and presented to Providence Communications.
